Graduated from the Music Conservatory of Amsterdam, Belgrade-born singer-songwriter Lena Kovacevic is one of the most famous musicians of ex-Yugoslavia.
Her latest single "Cafe" (Magic Records) is one of the biggest hit songs in the Balkan region and is about to be released in different languages.
Lena has released three albums, Dobar dan za pevanje (A good day for singing) and San (Dreams), which have acclaimed Lena as one of the leading singers of the new generation. Lena's third album features covers of the most popular songs of ex-Yugoslavian and Serbian pop musician Bajaga. The album was arranged and produced by Vladimir Nikolov (orchestration for the Oscar winning movie The Artist) and mixed and mastered in NY.
Lena has performed at pop and jazz festivals in Holland, Belgium, Austria, Cyprus, USA, Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro and the region that have featured musicians such as Dee Dee Bridgewater, Randy Crawford, the Nigel Kennedy Quintet, Candy Dulfer...She was one of the judges on the most popular TV show The First Voice of Serbia.
She was a brand ambassador for IT company ASUS, Frey Wille jewellery, XYZ Premium Fashion Store (Calvin Klein, Burberry, Mark Jacobs...) Premium brand ambassador for MasterCard and Lancome in 2017.
Her single Pick Up has been released by regional record label Menart, Sony Music licencee. The producer of Pick Up is Godfrey Diamond, a US music production star, who over the course of his successful career has worked with music legends such as Gloria Gaynor, Luther Vandross, Lou Reed, Aerosmith and many others. The single also features guitarist Carlos Alomar, who has collaborated with big names like David Bowie and Alicia Keys. The video premiere was aired on MTV. Pick Up has been played on Sirius Radio, in New York, featuring Godfrey Diamond.
While living in Belgrade she had a chance to perform at many different music halls and venues including a special appearance at the gala celebration of tennis ace Novak Djokovic.
In February 2017, Lena was a special guest at the BRIT Awards 2017 in London as a Premium Ambasador of MasterCard.
In 2017 she released single "Zauvek" (Magic Records) one of the most popular songs in the country, ranked by radio airplay.
Lena and her musicians are on tour in Serbia, the Balkan region and Europe. Lena had an honour to recently perform in the famous Albertina Hall in Vienna. She had concerts in Chicago and New York City during the Cultural Week in December 2017.
